Compliance
Compliance is our job, not yours
Every container enters under LatinXchange LLC as importer of record. Here is what that covers and what each plant certifies.
What the importer of record covers
FDA registration
Every plant we import from is registered with FDA; LatinXchange files prior notice for each shipment.
FSVP
Foreign Supplier Verification Program: hazard analysis, supplier approval and records for each plant, kept by LatinXchange.
U.S. labeling
English (or bilingual) statement of identity, ingredients, allergens, Nutrition Facts and lot code validated before shipping.
Storage and handling
Dry, ventilated warehousing; temperature-controlled rooms for chocolates; FIFO and lot traceability from plant to your dock.
Recall plan
Lot-level traceability by customer and date, with a joint protocol with each manufacturer.
FDA registration numbers, FSVP summaries and certificates are available to distributors during onboarding. They are not published.
